Digikey
www.digikey.com
Digikey is one of the fastest and best sources for electronic parts. If you're new to the hobby,
get a printed copy of their catalog - free - and browse through. Most of their parts are stocked
and can be ordered quantity 1, same day. |
Mouser
www.mouser.com
Mouser is similar to digikey, but tends to be better for more complicated components and subassemblies.
They also distribute Fluke measurement products. They have good deals on optoelectronics (leds, displays)
too.

ExpressPCB
www.expresspcb.com
ExpressPCB is one of the cheapest, fastest ways to get boards done. I highly recommend their service;
their miniboard deal - a small board, 3 day turnaround, for $51 + shipping is great and saves a LOT of
time! They give you an easy to use CAD tool free as well.

Advanced Circuits
www.advancedcircuits.com
Advanced Circuits is who I use for volume production runs, or production that has to be done in a UL
certified process. They have a great on-line board validation tool and work well with designs produced
in the free Eagle layout editor. Their prices are a little bit more expensive for short turn runs.

Protocase
www.protocase.com
Protocase does custom electronic enclosures to your spec. They've got a nice tool - Protocase Designer -
that allows you to rapidly make a 3D model of your design and then order it online.
|
McMaster-Carr
www.mcmaster.com
McMaster-Carr is your source for mechanical assemblies and parts. If you need it, they have it. Much
like digikey, if you're getting started, get ahold of their catalog. It's full of neat parts that
will give you ideas!

JR Kerr Motion Control
www.jrkerr.com
If you're doing robotics work with servos or steppers, then you need to check out this site. They sell
driver boards, and motion control ICs with great application libraries pre-built.

Spaenaur
www.spaenaur.com
Spaenaur is where you buy hardware. If you need screws, standoffs, brackets, bolts - they'll have it
and at a fraction of the price. They've got some really good stocking kits as well. If you're serious
about building things, check out their catalog.
